Harrisburg Freestanding Emergency Department
In order to further serve patients in the greater Charlotte area, Atrium Health pursued an ambitious expansion to their existing SouthPark development. This resulted in a new 30,000-square-foot free-standing community emergency department, complete with a helipad and multilevel parking deck expansion. To bring this project to life, our team provided civil engineering and landscape architecture services, addressing scope challenges such as roadway improvements, an offsite private sanitary sewer line, and an offsite public water line extension. While the new emergency center increases accessibility and care services to patients, it also provides a calming environment during crisis thanks to an outdoor seating area with lush landscaping.
