V3’s Board unanimously voted to appoint Gayle Roberts, P.E. as our new Board Chair. Gayle has served on our Board for the past five years, giving her a deep understanding of our leaders, culture, and goals. During her time with us, Gayle has positively influenced the actions of the Board and the governance of the firm, having Chaired the Governance Committee and served on the Compensation Committee. She has supplied invaluable advice to our Board and Executive Management Team, making her the ideal choice for Board Chair.
Gayle brings 44 years of engineering and consulting expertise to the role. She worked for Stanley Consultants for 37 years in various technical and leadership roles including Chair, President and CEO. Post retirement, she has continued her AEC involvement by serving on the board of directors for several engineering and environmental consulting companies, as well as industry and higher education organization boards and executive committees including ACEC, Iowa State University Chemical and Biological Engineering Advisory Board, and Engineers Without Border USA.
She has been recognized for her contributions to the engineering industry, with multiple awards including Engineering News Record (ENR) Legacy Award; Professional Achievement Citation in Engineering (PACE) Award from the Iowa State University Alumni Association; Iowa State University Chemical and Biological Engineering Hall of Fame; Voice of the Engineer Award from the Iowa Engineering Society; Athena Leadership Award; and the Upward Mobility Award from the Society of Women Engineers.
Gayle sits among V3’s current board of directors: Jake Bauer, Mike Famiglietti, Ted Feenstra, Lou Gallucci, Amy Holmes, Terry Neimeyer, and Heidi Voirol.
