We love our engineering team! For National Engineers Week, we’re digging into the talent, knowledge, and passion our engineers exhibit every day. Learn more about what drives these change-makers to transform communities and impact future generations.
What is National Engineers Week?
National Engineers Week is an annual celebration recognizing how engineers make a positive impact on our world. Founded by the National Society of Professional Engineers in 1951, this week aims to build awareness of and interest in engineering careers.
Engineering touches all aspects of daily life, with specialties ranging from software to civil, chemical to mechanical. At V3, our engineers help build and shape communities through math, science, and technology, combining practical application and creative innovation to reimagine the world around us and bring our clients’ visions to life.
One Team, Many Specialties
One of the biggest benefits of having so many different engineering specialties under one roof is the ability to problem solve from multiple angles, funneling expertise into holistic, innovative solutions. We have experts from 14 different service lines working together which not only benefits our clients, but allows us to learn from each other and seamlessly integrate ideas for the best possible outcomes.
Our engineering team specializes in:
- Construction Engineering
- Ecological Restoration
- Environmental Engineering
- Land Development
- Municipal Engineering
- Structural Engineering
- Transportation
- Water & Nature Based Solutions
This collaboration empowers us to deliver award-winning projects that helps us earn repeat client work.
Engineering Transforms Communities and Careers
We know our talented engineers can tackle any problem, but in light of National Engineers Week, we wanted to discover: why do our engineers do what they do?
We interviewed team members across offices to learn more about their motivations and discovered a common theme: V3 engineers love making a difference.
“I love being a civil engineer because it allows me to participate in projects that impact the general public on any given day. Every project is different and you can go back and enjoy the fruits of your labor for decades afterwards.”
Rick Kipp
“I love the math, I love the people I work with, and I love being a part of building the things we see every day in our lives.”
Jim Rinehart
“I’m in engineering because it allows me to couple my passion for clean water with working with people.”
Jamie Bradbury
“I love planning out projects that will help people in their every day lives.”
Michael Rebar
