Here’s what you’ll do:
The Regional Business Development & Proposal Coordinator will participate in all phases of business development activities for their assigned region. This position requires collaboration with regional management, BD leaders, and the firm’s marketing group to plan and execute business development and sales activities. The value driver for this role is to increase business development opportunities primarily in the public sector markets, increase the efficiency of technical and project management teams in networking and proposal activities, increase V3’s relationships with peers and sub-consultants for teaming opportunities, and gain a deeper understanding of clients and project objectives to make our submittals more impactful and increase our overall hit rate.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate in the planning and budgeting process for their assigned region.
- Engage in regional business development meetings and use creative thinking to organize ongoing activities, coordinate regional efforts, and act as an accountability resource to help the groups achieve their networking goals.
- Gather and screen solicitation inquiries for key clients and facilitate the go/no-go process.
- Prepare research and marketing/sales materials for client appointments, conferences, and networking events. Participate in such activities, as needed.
- Lead and execute the development of Pre-Qualifications, statements of interests, statements of qualification, proposals, and presentation. Coordinate with other marketing team members during peak proposal periods.
- Provide graphic support and coaching for shortlist interviews.
- Complete postmortems and analyze results of lost pursuits.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Experience in marketing, business development and/or pursuit in A/C/E industry required.
- Strong project, and people-management, skills.
- Strong analytic, critical thinking, and creative capabilities.
- Ability to develop, organize and execute client-directed events.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines without compromising deliverables and proven ability and commitment to achieve high standards in the final product.
- Willingness to work extra hours and/or adjust work schedule as needed to meet.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite and Deltek Vantagepoint.
Qualifications:
- 3+ Years Industry Experience
- Related Degree
Supervisory Responsibility:
- This position has no direct supervisory responsibility.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
- Office environment.
Licenses/ Certifications / Registrations:
- None required; SMPS participation/certification is encouraged.
