The Village of Baltimore, Ohio wanted to improve a 0.3-mile roadway alongside its local fire station and Liberty Union High School by providing ADA-compliant crossings as well as traffic management for emergency vehicles. After preparing the funding application to secure public works funding, our team answered the call with design engineering and surveying services to address the roadway stabilization challenges presented by the heavily industrial area. Construction occurred during the summer months to complete before the new school year. By the project’s end, the community benefited from a new sidewalk addition with ADA-compliant access to the school, as well as a designated emergency vehicle and truck lane to keep traffic moving.
