Chris Miller, Resident Engineer | 22 years of experience
Chris is a Resident Construction Manager with experience in all types of transportation-related construction projects including large-scale railroad improvements involving civil and track construction. Chris’s goal for each project is to ensure regulations, budgets, and schedules are met while exceeding safety expectations. His responsibilities include management of construction staff, layout and inspection, documentation of contract quantities, cost estimates, change orders, pay estimates, and work orders.
Dan Free, Project Manager | 12 years of experience
Dan is a Project Manager responsible for leading site infrastructure design and permitting for industrial, commercial, and residential developments. His primary responsibilities include leading preparation of site feasibility reports, design of site grading and earthwork analysis, design of utility systems as well as design and analysis of stormwater management systems and construction administration. He coordinates zoning and permit submittals as well as design services with internal and external design team members.
David Klausman, P.E., CMCSI, Senior Civil Engineer | 21 years of experience
David is a Senior Civil Engineer with experience in institutional, commercial, mixed-use, and municipal projects. His primary responsibilities include project management, due diligence, site design and engineering, calculations, utility design, grading and drainage, erosion control plans, permitting, and construction administration. David is proficient in Autodesk Civil3D.
Deborah Kaleikini-Johnson, P.Eng, P.E., Project Manager | 28 years of experience
Deborah is a Project Manager with experience in engineering and management spread across the municipal, infrastructure, and land development arenas in a number of land-use categories. Her project experience includes both rural and urban settings for the design, management, and construction of infrastructure for infill and greenfield efforts.
Kass Miftari, Director of Information Technology | 15 years of experience
Kass Miftari is Director of Information Technology. His journey with V3 spans over ten years, beginning as a Help Desk Technician and progressing through various positions, including Systems Administrator. Kass’ knowledge has played a pivotal role in the enhancement of the firm’s network infrastructure and cyber security measures. Kass is well-prepared to steer the IT department and foster ongoing technological advancements in support of V3’s expanding regional operations.
Kyle Medick, P.E., Resident Engineer | 15 years of experience
Kyle is a Resident Engineer with project management experience in design and construction of railroads. He has managed numerous commuter rail projects in shared corridors with freight railroads. His responsibilities included facilitating coordination between owners, agencies, contractors, and engineers. His construction experience includes track structures and construction, grading, drainage, utilities, and pavement. Kyle’s combined field and design experience gives him the unique ability to guide projects from start to finish while navigating unforeseen challenges.
Lauren Montero, P.E., LEED AP BD+C, Senior Project Engineer | 19 years of experience
Lauren is a Senior Project Engineer responsible for design and permitting strategies, preparation of plans, specifications, estimates, and project coordination. Her experience includes roadway design and site design for commercial, industrial, and residential developments including sewer design, construction observation, and on-site inspection. Most recently, Lauren has specialized in sewer improvement projects for the City of Chicago.
Mike Crane, P.E., Project Manager | 11 years of experience
Mike is a Project Manager and licensed Professional Engineer with experience in a wide range of public works projects including water, sanitary, roadway, site development, and stormwater improvements. He also assists clients in obtaining project funding including the Ohio Public Works Commission, EPA State Revolving Fund Loans, and Community Development Block Grant programs. Mike has extensive knowledge of permitting processes through federal, state, and local agencies.
Robert Van Soest, P.Eng, Project Manager | 14 years of experience
Robert is a Project Manager with experience in civil engineering and construction services. His primary responsibilities include coordination and management of engineering projects, including contract administration and design input. Robert oversees V3 staff in all aspects of design concerning interpretation of design drawings, contractor concerns, design conflicts, and construction issues. Robert brings his experience with utility and surface construction, constructability review, tender document preparation, construction review, and program administration as well as quality assurance and quality control for all of his assignments.
Ronald Cook, Resident Construction Manager | 34 years of experience
Ron is a Resident Construction Manager with experience in Phase III construction engineering including nine years working for IDOT Bureau of Construction as well as improvement projects for CDOT and municipalities in Illinois and Indiana. He has managed a variety of civil engineering projects including highways, roadways, bridges, and interchanges. His extensive background gives him the experience to handle demanding issues on challenging projects.
Steve Kranenborg, Project Manager | 13 years of experience
Steve is a Project Manager with experience in office, retail, residential, educational, and industrial site development projects with a focus on urban redevelopment. Steve directly oversees civil engineering design from the feasibility stage through design, permitting, and construction. He is proficient in the design of site grading, utility planning, earthwork analysis, development, and analysis of stormwater management systems as well as preparation of technical reports.
