Vince Del Medico, P.E., has been promoted to Director of Transportation & Municipal Engineering Services. Vince has more than 22 years of experience in the planning and design of transportation and infrastructure improvements for a wide range of projects including streets, highways, expressways, grade separations, bicycle/pedestrian facilities and utilities.
He has successfully managed numerous multi-discipline teams to complete Phase I and Phase II projects for a variety of state, regional and municipal governments and transportation agencies. Vince’s promotion is a testament to the managerial skills he honed working on complex projects that involved the integration of numerous internal departments at V3 as well as an expansive roster of peer-level sub-consultants.
“In addition to possessing an extremely high level of technical expertise and a resume that includes some of our most ambitious transportation projects, Vince has shown he knows how to organize and motivate teams to achieve difficult objectives,” said CEO, Rob Petroelje. “The input of those people who have worked on projects that he’s managed made us confident that he could easily rise to this level of leadership in V3.”
Rob added that another benefit was Vince’s ability to transition to this new role under the guidance and tutelage of Dave Heslinga, P.E., whom Vince is replacing as Group Director. Dave will continue to play an enhanced role at V3, leading the execution of some of the most challenging projects for key clients of the firm.
“This is the best of both worlds,’ said Rob. “Both V3 and our clients benefit from the skill sets of these two highly-skilled and accomplished project and personnel managers.”
A Professional Engineer registered in Illinois, Vince has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from University of Illinois-Urbana.
